Portrait!
Sorry I'm posting so late!! Here's my self portrait... I don't often do portraits, especially from life, so this was really good practice!
Good setup with the middle tones. I also enjoy the colors in the darks. I think it's difficult to try to figure out where to put texture when it comes to faces, try leaving most of the texture in the highlights to help give a more sculptural quality... i'm finding an example now and getting back to you
